As I reflected this week on Arsenal finally winning the Premier League again after such a long wait, I found myself thinking deeply about life, leadership, and faith.
For years, Arsenal fans hoped.
Every season started with belief.
There were moments of promise, moments of disappointment, and moments where it felt like success was close, but not quite there.
And while the European dream still did not happen, the Premier League victory reminded me of something powerful:
Not every prayer is answered all at once.
Not every goal comes in the timeline we expect.
Sometimes one victory is preparing you for another.
That is true in leadership too.
Many of us are building careers, teams, businesses, ministries, and families with consistency and sacrifice, yet the results we hope for may take years to come.
Sometimes you get one breakthrough while still waiting for another.
Sometimes you celebrate progress while still trusting God for completion.
Leadership teaches us patience.
It teaches endurance.
It teaches the discipline of continuing to show up even when the full picture has not yet come together.
And faith reminds us that waiting is never wasted.
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength…” — Isaiah 40:31
The waiting seasons shape us.
They build resilience, humility, wisdom, and character.
They prepare us for responsibilities we may not yet fully understand.
Arsenal’s journey is a reminder that long periods without visible success do not mean failure. Sometimes it simply means the process is still unfolding.
In life, not every season ends with everything you hoped for.
But every season can still carry growth, lessons, and signs that God is still working.
Keep believing.
Keep building.
Keep trusting.
And when one victory comes, celebrate it, even while waiting for the next.
Happy for both my children who are die hard Arsenal fans…
